GIGIBONTA
Before I begin this review please note that Zesty Zoe is not affilliated with Gigibonta and this review is solely based on personal tastes and preferences.
Let’s begin.
This is based on my second trip to Gigibonta.
The first one was at the East Park Mall store and the workers there were super friendly and very helpful.
This review is based on Kabulonga Mall branch.
We went up to the counter and ordered from the very polite lady, sadly I did not take down her name. We let her know that we’d be using a coupon, she expressed how she needed approval from her manager and took my boyfriend’s phone to the back.
She was there a while so my boyfriend requested for someone to call her and the gentleman she was with passed a sarcastic comment and everyone around him laughed.
We were very offended and instantly put off by that behavior. I do not think we’ll be returning to a store that has no respect for its customer base.
The Gelato
I ordered the wild fruit flavoured gelato and I really enjoyed the texture and flavour of it. My only reservation was that it was sickly sweet and for that reason I had to eat it very slowly until it had all melted. Answer to one of the questions for the July 31st, 2019: Black buttercream.
My boyfriend ordered the raspberry flavoured and it was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness so next time I go to Gigibonta, I’ll definitely try a different flavour. All in all. It was awesome! I’ll just be going to a different location.
