I have this weird thing okay? lol

Every time I have a cake craving I always always want a new flavor. It always feels like the perfect time to explore. So here is a really rich and delicious chocolate fudge cake that will knock your socks off!

125g dark chocolate (chopped/grated)

100g butter/baking margarine

275g white sugar

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 large eggs , at room temperature

1/4 cup cocoa powder

150g flour all purpose

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup boiling hot water or coffee (add 1 tbsp or strong coffee to the boiling hot water)

Butter and line a baking pan with baking paper or alternatively lightly flour the baking pan.

(9 inch round or 8 inch square)

Preheat your oven to 150 degrees Celsius.

Place chocolate and butter in a heat proof bowl over a double boiler mixing frequently until chocolate and butter melt.

Transfer mixture into your mixing bowl.

Add sugar, oil and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.

Add eggs one at a time combining well after each egg.

Sift in cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and mix well.

Pour in hot coffee and mix until well combined.

Pour batter into your baking pan, you’ll notice that it is very light, that’s okay.

Bake for 45 minutes to and 1 hour or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.

If your oven heats up fairly quickly you can start checking at the 35 minute mark.

I enjoyed mine with a simple chocolate buttercream frosting and oh my gosh it was amazing!!!!!!!

Here’s a piece I hid from everyone in cling film in the fridge lol the cake was done in a few hours except for this piece. So yummy!
