Before I begin this review please note that Zesty Zoe is not affilliated with Ocean Basket and this review is solely based on personal tastes and preferences.

Let’s get started!

The day was 21st January, 2019; the event was a two year anniversary celebration.

Before this day I had had prawns once and I absolutely did not like them so I was really nervous to try seafood again but my boyfriend assured me that it would be amazing.

So that lovely Monday evening, we exchanged gifts and made our way to Ocean Basket at arcades mall.

We we’re instantly greeted by a very pleasant waitress at the door and she led us to a table for two inside. The environment was serene and relaxing, maybe because it was a Monday and there were only about four other people there but it was just perfect. She brought the condiments out first and here’s how they looked:

She then brought fresh bread and just the smell awakened my tastebuds. I unfortunately did not have any of the bread as it’s not a preference of mine, but the smell was enough to excited my sense.

Finally, the food!!!!!!!!!!!

So here we had:

Chips (or French fries depending on which side of the world you’re from): they were really delicious, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, I love them!

Rice: It was okay. Parboiled I imagine but nothing out of the ordinary.

Prawns: These were juicy, packed with flavour and just absolutely mouth watering. My mouth is watering as I write this post. Need try them again.

Calamari: Just perfect. Absolutely delicious. I almost kept it all to myself. It was remarkable.

Oysters: Packed with heavy garlic flavour. I’m not huge on garlic but I enjoyed them.

Finally: Fish fillet. Without the lemon, it was somewhat underwhelming for me. I ate very little of it.

So I’m conclusion, I would absolutely visit Ocean Basket to try more of their dishes as they did not disappoint.

Our waitress was absolutely helpful and checked on us a few times during our course, not too mich that it was overwhelming, just enough that if you needed her she’d be available to attend to you.

We had a great time and I would recommend Ocean Basket based on the reason posted above!
