A lot of you have been asking if I offer baking lessons so I got the idea to offer tutorials here and there through YouTube.
So my first tutorial ever is a rosette tutorial.
They’re super easy to do and look so good on cakes. A definite go-to when you don’t know what to do with a cake. So here goes.
For this tutorial I used the Wilton 1M piping tip, a crumb coated dummy cake and a pink buttercream frosting.
The first thing you’ll need to do is hold your piping bag correctly. Be very careful not to overfill your bag because this will make it very difficult to work with.
Wrap the excess plastic from your piping bag around you index finger and hold your bag at a 90 degree angle.
Make a star with the piping top like this:
Rotate your tip into a semi-circle and watch the shape come to life like this:
Finally continue going round with the icing until you have achieved the size you would like for your rosettes.
Watch the video attached for a more detailed explanation.
Have fun with the design cause it’s definitely awesome!
